Don Brown, though his formal training is in Illustration Art his true calling has always been Fine Art. In his words, "What inspires me to paint is when elements such as light, color, shapes, value and texture all come together to make an otherwise ordinary scene extraordinary." Don's work has been featured at many shows and galleries in the Northwest as well as Wyoming and New Mexico. Most of his work is studio work now, but started as a landscape and seascape painter in the Monterey, CA. area, painting mostly outdoors on location. While large scale painting, such as murals on the exterior of buildings and business lobbies, has been a nice challenge, small plein air style painting will always be the main focus of his portfolio.
